Painterly Prints

This succesful three day course focused on two days of silkscreen printing and a day on solar etching during which the seven students produced some vey interesting work. On the first day Martin Brewster demonstrated techniques he has developped for using screens to make painterly images. During the second day Demeter Dykes helped students to build on the first day while expanding the students knowledge of other ways of using the screen. On the last day Ruth Oaks showed students how to transpose their images into Solar Etchings, a medium which favours the exploration of tones.
